The CSM Innovation Center Frozen and Bakery Products in Bromborough (near Liverpool, UK) hosts an international team of specialists for cake laminated and fried products. The newly built facilities, with its own baking center, is an inspiring place to gain an in-depth understanding of frozen and bakery products, and push the boundaries of various technologies. Our research teams combine the latest formulations know-how with best identified practice in bakery product processing, to deliver bakery products in line with customer and consumer demands.
This innovation center also functions as a hub for communicating frozen developments and analytical expertise to other European colleagues as well as to the four innovation centers in the USA who work on complementary projects. The CSM Innovation Center Frozen and Bakery Products also works with external research partners (mainly in Europe) and plays a key role in working with strategic suppliers and co-packers.
The bakery team at our Innovation Center in Tucker (Georgia, USA) focuses on batters, cakes, muffins, cookies and laminated dough products. This facility boasts its own product development groups, innovation groups and regulatory & compliance teams for bakery ingredients. The product development teams work on developing formulations based on customer requests and marketing driven line extensions. The innovation teams focus on developing strategic product platforms that utilize new technologies or require extensive research efforts for products that are designed to be first to the market or superior to current market offerings.
