The European Sweet Ingredients Innovation Center is based in Goes (Netherlands). The Sweet Ingredients product category contains sugar based pastry, such as fruit fillings and garnitures, glazes, custard creams, icing & fondants, fat coatings, UHT non dairy creams, pralines and almond pastes, bavarois and chocolate. These ingredients are often responsible for the typical texture of bakery products. Research conducted at the Goes facility is grouped around three overriding themes, namely convenience, taste & appearance and health & nutrition.

The Sweet Ingredient team at the North American Sweet Ingredients Innovation Center in Tucker (Georgia, USA) works on icings, glazes, fillings and whipped toppings. The US facility boasts its own product development groups, innovation groups and regulatory & compliance teams for sweet ingredients. The product development teams work on developing formulations based on customer requests and marketing driven line extensions.  The innovation teams focus on developing strategic product platforms that utilize new technologies or require extensive research efforts for products that are designed to be first to the market or superior to current market offerings.
